1980s Louis Mari Jersey Jumpsuit
Description
An early form of athleisure wear, this late 1970s to early 1980s Louis Mari jumpsuit is constructed from a soft and lightweight wool/acrylic jersey material in shades of pale pink and brown. It has a high, rounded neckline with sleeves which narrow slightly towards the cuffs and a piped waist band with corded drawstring. Additionally, there is a wide sash belt complete with side loops to further tailor the waist. The jumpsuit fastens down the centre back with a metal zipper, topped off with a simple hook and eye. The top of the bodice has a bold graphic design of brown abstract shapes and a large decorative button with diamante detail. The bottom half features loose, flowing trousers which cuff neatly around the ankle for a relaxed overall fit.
Made in France, this is an unusual and very well made boutique piece which also has the retail label 'Manderine'. In superb vintage condition with no issues - this looks barely worn. Would best fit a statuesque size UK 12-14 or US 8-10.
