Original 1970s Articulated Owl Clip Earrings

Iconic 1970s articulated owl earrings in silver and gold tone metal. The owl is designed into three sections, each held together with o-rings which give the design a fun and novelty feel. These well functioning and comfortable clip earrings are finely engraved on both sides and with orange glass cabouchon set eyes.

This is THE original design which has spawned a thousand (inferior) copies over the years although the designer is unknown. I have owned a few of these and I have never seen either the earrings or the necklaces signed. In excellent vintage condition and increasingly hard to get hold of.
