1980s Giorgio Armani Black Label Orange Silk Long Line Jacket
Description
This 1980s or very early 1990s orange silk cover-up was designed by Giorgio Armani who defined the decade’s power-dressing with his unstructured jackets and fluid tailoring, epitomising understated luxury and the rise of the “Armani woman”. Tailored from smooth silk with a subtle tonal horizontal stripe, it has a slim, straight cut designed to hang open around the body. It fastens at the neck with one tonal orange plastic button and hangs open from there. It is detailed with four faux welt pockets - two at the chest and two on the hips. This piece is unlined and, as a result, has a slightly sheer finish. A vibrant, highly wearable take on a timeless, everyday piece.
From Armani's prestigious mainline black label and Made in Italy, this jacket is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws. There is no composition label and the fabric has no stretch. Labelled a vintage Italian size 42, UK 10 or US 6.
