2017 Burberry Runway Documented White Mesh and Lace Dress
Description
Under Christopher Bailey’s creative direction, Burberry embraced a blend of heritage and modernity, merging its iconic British tailoring legacy with streetwear influences, see-now-buy-now collections, and a more inclusive, youth-driven vision of luxury. This pretty dress walked the runway as part of the brand’s Spring 2017 collection (look 74/79). Tailored from white mesh and soft, elaborately detailed lace, it has an antique feel that draws on the Victorian era that the brand was founded in. The elegant long-sleeves are trimmed with white lace and slightly widened at the cuff which adds to this vintage feel. The body is tailored to skim the torso, with the relaxed column-cut skirt broken only by a slit at the rear to allow for ease of movement. The neckline is rounded and trimmed with white cotton. The dress fastens at the rear with a tonal white zip. This romantic, sheer gown would be perfectly paired with an antique slip or modern shapewear.
Presented in excellent condition with no flaws. It is made from 100% Nylon with inserts of 100% Cotton and 100% Nylon. It has no size label but we have provided measurements below. The fabric has a tiny bit of stretch - a best fit in our opinion for up to a UK size 8 or US 4.
