1930s Antique Silk Indian Waistcoat With Gold Brocade

This exquisite 1930s antique ivory silk Indian waistcoat with gold brocade is in lovely vintage condition for a piece of this era and would look fantastic paired with a blouse and jeans. It features an intricate brocade paisley design that incorporates Indian animals amidst flora over a soft a ivory background. There is a rounded hem and a dinner jacket style lapel which has been secured with a stitch on either side. It is fully lined in silk and fastens at the front with 2X covered buttons and a loop in the matching brocade. Could be worn open or closed as desired. A beautiful, versatile piece that can be effortlessly dressed up or down with the right accessories. Would best suit a US size 8, UK size 12. Our model is a UK 6-8 and 5ft 4in (163cm) and this was very roomy on her.
