1930s French Black and Gold Sequin Bag
Description
This beautiful and original late 1930s to early 1940s evening bag is crafted from black satin and detailed all over with gold sequins. It is cut to a trapeze shape with gently curved edges and closes with a gold-toned metal twist clasp at the top. The top handle is created from a gold-toned metal chain. Inside, the bag is lined with black satin and has a fabric label that reads “Made in France”.
The bag is in very good antique condition and presents beautifully - very clean inside. There are some small patches of wear to the gold-toned metal hardware commensurate with age and rubbing to the sequins. We can't spot any sequin or bead loss its that minimal.
