Y2K Emanuel Ungaro Yellow Floral Print Slip Dress
Description
The House of Emanuel Ungaro was founded in 1965. Giambattista Valli was Creative Director at Ungaro from 1998 to 2004 and this lively slip dress dates to his reign. Tailored from a soft, stretch crepe and trimmed with rose pink lace, it brings Valli’s telltale romance to this party-ready Ungaro dress. The crepe is dyed a vibrant yellow so bright it verges on neon and is smothered in clashing fantastical florals in turquoise, rose pink, fuchsia and lilac. The front of the dress is ruched, and the ruching parts at the bottom to reveal a sheer chiffon patterned with abstract leaf-like patterns in yellow and soft rose pink. The pretty pink lace sits atop the bust, it forms the straps and and carries on all the way around the rear. This dress is fully lined in neon yellow stretch crepe. Inside the bust is a bra-like construction that adds to the lingerie feel of the slip dress silhouette. The rear of the dress hangs straight. It fastens under the arm with a tonal yellow zip and hook-and-eye clasp.
