1960s Rulhina Pistachio Green Embroidered High-Neck Dress

Made in the United States in the 1960s, this superb dress bears a label that appears to read Rufina, although the stylised lettering could conceivably read Rulhina. Neither name is well documented so it may have been a small American maker or boutique label. The dress is tailored from lightweight, semi-sheer pistachio green cloth that we believe is most likely a silk and linen blend. It has long sleeves, a high neckline and a midi-length hem. It is overlayed and superbly embellished throughout with hand-worked flowers and trailing vines in contrasting white thread. Wide panels of dense white embroidery frame the neckline and cuffs, demonstrating the quality and extent of the workmanship. The dress fastens at the back of the neck with a concealed tonal zip and two hook-and-eye closures and is unlined.

It is in excellent vintage condition with no issues of any note. There are no surviving size or composition labels. We recommend it for approximately a UK 8–10 or US 4–6. Please refer to the sizing information below to ensure the best fit.
