Description

We love a novelty print dress at Circa, especially from cult vintage French ready-to-wear brand Chacok. This dress was mostly likely designed in the early to mid 1980s at the height of the brand's fame. Founded by Arlette Decock in the south of France in 1971, by the 80s, there were boutiques in Paris, Lyon, Tokyo and Montreal.

The dress is tailored from a soft, thick cotton patterned with a delightful print of fruit trees in red/ burgundy/pale aubergine shades and detailed with lilac spots, outlined in white. Amongst the trees are tiny figures harvesting the fruit and placing them into baskets and carts. The dress has a rounded neckline which fastens with a polished brown button at the side of the neck. The dress is pleated from below the neckline, and this pleating is broken only by a nipped-in elasticated waist. The dress has long-sleeves. It is unlined.

In excellent, gently worn vintage condition with no issues. It has no labels other than the brand name so please double-check our measurements below. We believe that this would best fit sizes up to a UK 10, US 4-6.
