1995 Chanel Black Silk Chiffon Maxi Skirt

This elegant, black silk chiffon skirt was designed by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel in the 1990s. Bringing the brand’s timeless sophistication to a floaty maxi-skirt style, this piece is cut with a flattering high waist and free-flowing silhouette. The generously layered construction adds to the whimsical feel, with five layers of rippling chiffon falling from the waist. The waistband is secured at the side with two spherical buttons engraved with the label’s instantly recognisable double-C insignia in gold. The Chanel Boutique label has handwritten notes for this being part of Chanel’s 1995 Cruise collection. We have included a runway presentation shot of an almost identical skirt from the same collection and is a very paired down look. In wonderful vintage condition with no flaws. Labelled a French 38 which equates to a UK 8 - 10 or US 4 - 6. Our model (5ft 4in / 163 cm) is a UK 6-8, this skirt fit her well.
