1970s Cream Pintuck and Crochet Mexican Wedding Dress
Description
This 1970s mousseline cotton dress has many of the hallmarks of traditional Mexican wedding design. It is tailored to a breezy ankle length, A-line silhouette and detailed all-over with tonal pintuck stitching. Horizontal stripes of crochet create panels down the body and along the sleeves. The sleeves are tailored to a romantic angel-sleeve silhouette and are unlined so are slightly sheer. The body and skirt are fully lined with cream satin. The round neckline is trimmed with pale lace and the dress fastens at the back with a tonal zip.
In pristine vintage condition with no flaws of any note. The designer label is missing from this dress but this is a true 1970s original with a composition label stating 65% Polyester, 35% Cotton with a lining of 100% Acetate. There is no size label so please check the measurements below carefully. The fabric has no stretch. We estimate a good fit for up to a UK 8-10 or US 4-6.
