Description

Whilst the brand makes a current day comeback, grab a piece of rare original 1970s to early 1980s Chloé with this suede midi-dress when Karl Lagerfeld was at the helm as creative director. Displaying so many of the hallmarks of this beloved bohemian brand, it is tailored from terracotta suede and cut to a loose tunic silhouette. The wide lapels are particularly of this era, as are the coordinating suede ties at the cuffs and V-neckline. Huge patch pockets play to the laid-back feel, and slits in the bottom hem allow for ease of movement. This dress and pockets are lined with brown satin that features the Chloé logo all over.

The label reads 'Made in Italy'. This piece is in good vintage condition with the fantastic quality suede retaining its suppleness and nap. There is a broadly linear area across the collar and left shoulder, which disperses down the sleeve, where the colour in the suede is more burnished but its minor and doesn't 'shout out' when the garment is being worn. The size label states that this is a French size 40, UK 12 and US 8 equivalent, but please double-check our measurements below. We estimate a good fit for a UK 10-12 or US 6-8 as vintage sizes run smaller. Our model is a UK 8-10 and 5ft 11in. (180cm) and this dress was a good fit.
