1960s Lee Delman Bubble Print Yellow Chiffon Dress
Description
This 1960s glorious sunshine-yellow chiffon dress was made by Lee Delman in England; the label retailed in Harrods and sat in the top echelons of British ready to wear during the 1950s and 1960s. The chiffon is patterned with painterly, bubble-like polka-dots of varying sizes in shades of mustard, gold and brown. Cut to a timeless midi-silhouette with a nipped in waist, the chiffon is gathered across the ruched bust and culminates in a decadent chiffon petalled rose. The dress has double spaghetti straps crafted from the same fabric. The flattering skirt is cut to a pencil style, skimming the hips and falling to below the knee. The dress is lined in peachy yellow satin to complement the outer cloth. It fastens at the rear with a hidden tonal zip and hook-and-eye clasp. The skirt has a pleat at the rear for ease of movement.
This wonderful dress is in excellent overall vintage condition with no faults, holes or tears seen to the chiffon fabric and looks barely worn. It has no size or composition label so please check our measurements below; we estimate a best fit for up to a UK 10 or US 6.
