1960s Turquoise and Gold Lurex Floral Maxi Dress

This glittering maxi gown was created by an unknown designer during the late 1960s. It is fabulous quality and American made for a high-end boutique or one of the top department stores of the day. The fabric is mesmerising; turquoise lurex detailed with clashing yellow, brown, olive green and cobalt blue flowers with sparkling gold leaves. The dress has long, slightly flared princess-length sleeves, a rounded neckline and a maxi-length skirt that falls in soft pleats from a high waistline. The waist, neckline and cuffs are finished with elaborate gold trim. The dress is lined with a turquoise satin for a comfortable wear. It fastens at the back of the neck with a hidden zip and hook-and-eye clasp.

In excellent vintage condition with no issues. No labels remain in the dress so please check our measurements below. The fabric has no stretch and we estimate a good fit for sizes up to a UK 8 or US 4 on account of the small waist.
