1920s White Cotton Negligee with Peach Ribbon Detail

This pretty negligee whitework dress was crafted in the 1920s to 1930s and is probably a home-made piece. Made carefully with attention to detail, it is tailored from white cotton with peekaboo broderie anglais around the neckline and up the wide sleeves, further detailed with flowers and a scallop hem. At the bust, the cotton is threaded with newly added peach grosgrain ribbon edged with loop stitches, this ties in a bow at the front of the negligee. The negligee has a panelled construction and a relaxed wide-cut waistband. It is unlined and there are no fastenings - it simply slips on over your head.

In excellent vintage condition with no issues and laundered, ready to wear. It has no composition or size labels so please check our measurements below. The fabric has no stretch. It will fit a range of sizes up to a size UK 10, US 6.
