1930s Czechoslovakia Oval Blue Toned Brooch
Description
This large brooch is a real head-turner. Mostly likely designed in pre-war Czechoslovakia, so 1930s, it is crafted from a gold-toned metal and features flamboyant and very large glass stones. The central stone is a rich royal blue and cut to a rectangular shape. It is flanked by two oval-cut stones in cornflower blue. The setting is decadent with paw-shaped claws holding the central stone in place. The edge of the brooch is elaborately carved. Unsigned but a quality and striking peice.
In very good vintage condition with a tiny bit of wear to the gold and some foiling to the reverse of one of the stones. This is only noticed with the brooch in hand and not while being worn. We have shown a picture of this with bright studio lights shining through.
