1950s Black Jersey and Twisted Tassel Wiggle Dress

This 1950s black wiggle dress is a fantastic example of early rayon jersey. It is of superb quality and is likely a high-end American made department store piece. It features ¾ length ruched sleeves and an unusual intertwined rope and tassel detail to the centre front to accentuate the bust. There is a seductive pencil style skirt finishing at the calf with a small slit from the hem at the centre reverse for ease of movement. Fully lined with a central zip fastening at the reverse it is in excellent vintage condition and would make a great little black dress for the party season! Would best suit a US size 4-6, UK size 8-10.
