1950s Josselyne of Paris White Cotton Eyelet Dress
Description
This pretty 1950s cotton summer dress was designed by Josselyne of Paris. There is something very contemporary about the design: the pristine white cotton detailed with peekaboo eyelets, the ruched bodice, the midi-length skirt. The top of the dress is unlined, whilst the skirt is lined with a layer of stiff gauze to give it structure and make it hold its shape. The dress fastens at the side of the left hip with the original, hidden bronze zip. The pale blue-on-cream label reads “Josselyne Paris”. This lovely dress is the perfect accompaniment to a garden party in the sun or could easily be worn as a carefree wedding dress.
In excellent vintage condition with no issues and is freshly laundered. Labelled a French size 40 please double check our measurements below as vintage sizes from this era run very small. The fabric has no stretch and the dress would fit up to a size UK 8, US 4 on account of the small waist.
