Description

This refined mod dress was made in the 1960s by Eric Hill who had boutique concessions in the top UK department stores of the day including, Marshall and Snelgrove and Dickins and Jones. This dress is beautifully crafted from thick, jet black wool. Cut to a modish shape, it has an A-line skirt that falls to below the knee. The sleeves are long and slim. At the neck, there is a rounded neckline with V-shaped cut-out that recalls tunic styles popular during the era. This elegant dress is lined with black satin for a comfortable, luxurious wear, and fastens at the back of the neck with a hidden tonal black zip and hook-and-eye clasp.

In truly excellent vintage condition, as perfect as the day it was made. It is labelled a size UK 12 but sizes have changed hugely over the years so please check our measurements below. The fabric has no stretch and is comparable in quality to Courreges and Chloe pieces from the same period. A best fit for up to a UK size 8-10, US size 4-6.
