1960s Gold Silk Jacket with Frog Fastenings
Description
This 1960s jacket is in beautiful vintage condition with no visible flaws. The label reads Tilly Gerland and this is almost certainly a bespoke made piece from a very competent, high-end dress maker. Without a doubt, the star of the show is the design of the embroidered applique art nouveau frog fastenings with a central resin black bead. A close second is the beautiful golden-beige raw silk and linen blend fabric. With shorter, bracelet length sleeves and a scoop neck collar, the jacket is fully lined in a matching coloured rayon / polyester blend. It will fit up to a UK 8 or US 4 and is better suited to someone under 164cm or 5ft 4in. Our model is a UK 6-8 and 5ft 4in (163cm) and this fit her well.
