1960s Harco Orange Cotton Dress with Waistband Applique
Description
This original late 1950s or early 1960s dress has some really great design details and is in a delightful tangerine orange shade of cotton. We love the very fine accordion pleated shoulders and the Princess seamed and panelled waist gives the dress a wonderful fit and flair shape. The empire line bodice has a very decorative waistband with two double bands conjoining and a large sequinned and embellished satin applique. The applique is comprised of white iridescent leaves with purple and silver bugle beads. The dress has little puffed cap sleeves and fastens to the rear with the original concealed metal zip. There is also a bow that consolidates the look to the rear with a long tail. Overall the condition is absolutely beautiful with no faults of any note. The dress is labelled Harco Original and it is a good quality USA made piece. It will fit around a UK size 8, US 4 or smaller. Our model is a UK 6-8 and 5ft 4in (163 cm) and this dress fit her well.
