Description

This enchanting wedding dress, with its tiered construction and layers of delicate machined lace, was created in the 1960s. The design features a long-sleeved bodice with a fitted bust and wide, rounded neckline that reveals the décolletage. The silhouette is fitted at the waist and flares out at the skirt. Petals of lined lace with scallop hems fall across the front of the skirt. These layers draw the eye whilst the gown swirls around the wearer complete with a good length train which puddles beautifully at the back. Up-close, the detail of the lace is revealed, composed of intricately woven vines, leaves and flowers. The original metal zip fastens the back. The bodice and skirt are fully lined in a quality off-white acetate, with the collar and sleeve left bare to reveal the wearer's skin.

This well made wedding dress is in excellent vintage condition and is clean, restored and ready to wear for your big day. We have expertly patched a very small rectangular piece of the lining fabric in the train of the skirt - totally unseen when worn. There are no labels present so please check our measurements closely below. The fabric does not have any stretch to it. We think this would best suit up to a UK size 10 or US 6; our model is a UK 8-10, US 4-6, 5ft 11in (180cm) and this was a great fit on her.
