Description

This dress really looks like something out of the 1950s but was almost certainly manufactured in the 1970s. I really love the medium weight voile-like fabric that is overlaid with black, flocked velvet, polka dots. The dress is Princess seamed and the skirt is a very flared, circle design that falls to around mid-calf. The underskirt of the dress is lined in a slightly darker peach acetate and this is also stiffened with a honeycomb, medium tulle net. So in total, there are three layers on the skirt.

The bodice of the dress is fully lined in a peach acetate. There is no label present, but the dress has clearly been manufactured and probably in the USA, as the stitch holes remain on the acetate where the label once was. It fastens to the side with the original zip and the spaghetti straps are made from an acetate. This dress has belt loops although no belt was present when we purchased it. We've added this fine black ribbon which we think looks perfect as a belt.

Great vintage condition with absolutely no issues and best suited to up to a UK size 10 or US 6. Our model is a UK 8-10 and 5ft 11in. (180cm), this dress was a great fit on her.
