Description

This Gunne Sax dress by Jessica McClintock is from the brand’s highly collectable mid 1970s era. The label reads “Gunne Sax by Jessica”. Incorporating many of the label’s signature prairie references, this white cotton maxi-dress features panels of white lace detailed with blue embroidery. At the bust, the cotton is elasticated and ruched. The sleeves are cut straight and have an angled cuff. They are detailed with peekaboo panels of embroidered lace that reveal the skin underneath. The tiered skirt features a sheer panel of lace and a wide ruffle flounce at the bottom. It is lined with a cream satin slip. There is a tie at the waist to cinch the silhouette and the dress fastens at the back with a hidden, tonal zip.

In very good to excellent vintage condition and would make a great wedding dress. Please note, there is a small, single scuff mark and a few faint marks on the bottom hem - very hard to spot and would never be seen when the dress is worn. It is composed of 65% Cotton, 35% Polyester with a lining of 100% Acetate. There are no size labels so please check the measurements below carefully. A best fit in modern sizing for a UK 6-8 or US 2-4.
