1990s Documented Liza Bruce Mesh Cut Out Dress
Description
Liza Bruce began her fashion career designing innovative, high-end bathing suits in 1982. In 1988, Bruce added ready-to-wear to her brand’s offering, bringing her talent for combining unusual materials and sensuous, highly revealing tailoring to this arena. This body con dress was worn by Yasmin Le Bon and she walked the runway for the brand many times in the ‘80s. With its clingy nylon-spandex construction and teasing peekaboo mesh, it blurs the line between swimwear and ready-to-wear and is perfect for a party. The dress is cut to a high-neck, mini-dress silhouette with cut-outs that reveal the polka-dot mesh at the chest, waist, back and side of the skirt.
This dress is in fantastic vintage condition with no faults. The composition label states that it is 95% Nylon and 5% Spandex. Labelled a size Medium but please check our measurements below carefully. The fabric has stretch which allows for about 1cm of flexibility on the below measurements. Our model is a UK 6-8 and 5ft 4in (163 cm) and this dress fit her well. As it is body con we recommend this dress to be suitable for up to a UK 10 or US 6.
