Description
A classic 1980s vintage strapless cocktail in black silk, hand made to a Belville Sassoon pattern, c.1984.
The bodice is boned with with additional internal waistband support, and there are pencil sequins around the top edge of bust. The skirt has a flat front, with soft pleats at side of a fitted waist, narrowly tapering to below the knee. The outstanding feature is the gathered fish tail at the back, finished with a huge bow, edged in looped braid.

Condition: Very good; a couple of beads have come loose.
