Description

This original Edwardian blouse is an extremely wearable piece of antique clothing dating from around the turn of the last century - circa 1910. The detail on this blouse is made entirely by hand from a lightweight white cotton. The shirt has a panelled front which is detailed with stripes of sheer lace and cotton embroidered with tonal florals, leaves and vines. The neckline is rounded and trimmed with white braid, as are the sides of the panelled front. The top has short puff-sleeves which are also detailed with panels of lace and embroidered cotton. The back of the shirt features delicate pleating at the top and fastens with hidden hook-and-eye clasps. The top is unlined.

Antique clothing such as this timeless piece can be easily worn as contemporary daywear with jeans and layered with maxi skirts and knits. The blouse is in excellent antique condition, freshly laundered and without issues. It has no size or composition labels so check our measurements below. We believe it will best fit sizes UK 6-8 or US 2-4 as the neckline and arm holes are narrow.
