1930s Cream Silk Chiffon Wide Shoulder Strap Slip Dress

This pretty slip dress was made in the 1930s and displays many signature details of the era’s best lingerie designs. It is tailored from the palest cream silk with coordinating, wide silk-satin straps. It has an empire line cut formed from gathering the cloth under the bust in a smocking design. It is detailed with delicate pale peach hued lace across the bust, attached to the cream cloth with a scalloped hem. The silhouette can be adjusted with the two straps that sit on each side of the bust. This slip dress is unlined.

In excellent vintage condition with no issues and is robust and wearable. The slip is very well manufactured with hand finished details and was almost certainly made for the luxury end of the market. No labels remain so please check our measurements below as the fabric has no stretch. We believe this would best fit a UK 8-10, US 4-6 on account of the empire line.
