1950s Melbray Floral Print Cotton Dress

Original 1950s dress from quality British label, Melbray, in a wonderful deep cerise polished cotton. The floral print looks like forget me nots in a brilliant turquoise and white which contrasts beautifully with the pink background. This dress has lots of interesting design details including a really special v shaped waistband which continues to form a wrapped skirt held together by four large fabric covered buttons to the front. The waist itself is gathered but hidden under the waistband and the dress also features Princess seams on the bodice and delightful bracelet length sleeves. In beautiful vintage condition with no issues of any note, this is simply exquisite fashion from the era and a best fir for up to a UK 8-10 or US 4.
