1960s Sambo Fashions Yellow and Lilac Floral Print Dress
Description
This cotton late 1950s to early 1960s sundress was designed by Sambo Fashions, a quality British brand operating throughout the ‘40s to ‘60s. The print on this dress is what really stands out; violet flowers against a buttercup yellow background and its one of the best designs we've seen for some time. Contrasting white patterns trim the collar and placket, falling down the length of the skirt. Yellow fabric-covered buttons secure the open-collar shirt style top and hidden poppers and hook-and-eye closures close the front of the skirt. The skirt is pleated and falls to the mid-calf with a generous amount of fabric. In excellent vintage condition with no issues and the cloth remains as fresh as the day it was printed. Suggested best fit for a UK 10 or US 6.
