1970s Cream Cape Sleeveless Coat
Description
This graceful midi-cape was made in the 1970s by an unknown designer and is woven from a soft cream cloth. The fabric feels like that of a traditional trench coat which adds a utilitarian feel to this feminine style. The cape has a formal pointed collar at the neck. The tonal stitching and panelled construction also recalls trench coat construction. The cloth forms a cocooning shape around the body, broken only by two large slits at the front which serve as armholes. The cape has a button-up front which showcases decadent pearlescent buttons with a ridged texture. There are two slanted welt pockets at the hips. Beautifully made, the cape is lined with cream satin throughout.
In excellent vintage condition with no issues. It has no size or composition label so please check the below measurements; it would best fit sizes between a UK 8-12, US 4-8.
