Description

Royal couturier Donald Campbell had two London boutiques from the 1970s through to 2009 in fashionable Chelsea, and Knightsbridge, London. The brand used couture fabrics to create high-end ready-to-wear clothing and Princess Diana wore several of his designs for formal events.

This elegant dress is tailored from a fluid silk jersey crepe with a red and navy print of painterly florals dotted with white detailing. Theatrical bell-sleeves are cut from generous swathes of fabric which pools around the gathered cuffs and secured with zips. It has a feminine shape with a nipped-in waist and flared, swirling skirt. The neckline has a V-shape and it fastens at the back of the neck with a hidden tonal navy zip and hook-and-eye clasp. The dress comes with a coordinating scarf which can also be styled as a sash belt in matching fabric with beautiful tassel detailing created from strips of ribbon and braided wool in navy and red. This dress is unlined.

In excellent vintage condition with no issues of any note. Due to its age, it has no size or composition labels so please check out measurements below carefully. The fabric has no stretch and we think it will work on sizes UK 10-12 or US 6-8.
