1990s Thierry Mugler Neon Green Fitted Jacket

This 1990s Thierry Mugler couture jacket is cut from an unusual medium weight woven fabric. It is a pale shade of chartreuse, almost lime green, with flecks of sparkle to create an iridescent effect. Featuring a rounded front and high collar to the back of the neck - typical of Mugler's tendency to alter traditional necklines in favour of more abstract, unusual shapes. It fastens down the front with six sturdy poppers, with rectangular button detail to the topmost fastening. The sleeves slope gently down from the shoulder, and the body of the jacket is sewn with dart seam detail running vertically from bust to hip, creating a feminine shape. The jacket flares out slightly at the hip, further enhancing this silhouette, and is lined with a pale lemon yellow silky feel fabric. It is in excellent vintage condition, with no faults or stains to note. Labelled a French size 44, it would best fit a size 12 UK, or 8 US.
