2009 Vivienne Westwood Red Label Black Halter-Neck Top

This black halter-neck top was designed as part of the spring 2009 collection by Vivienne Westwood for her luxurious Red Label line. We have added the runway shot of a very similar dress from the same collection and Circa's owner purchased this direct from her London flagship store. A signature Westwood style, it has a tight-fitting bodice and a slouchy, deconstructed bust which contains padding for a push-up effect. Made in Italy, it is tailored from a cotton-silk mix with a minute ribbed texture and slight sheen to the cloth. It has a panelled construction and is shaped like a corset around the bottom hem - curved to sit atop the hips and compliment a feminine figure. The top is lined throughout with black satin woven with the Vivienne Westwood logo. It fastens at the back with a hidden tonal zip and hidden hook-and-eye clasp. The zip has an angular silver-toned metal pull.

This halter top is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note. The composition label states that it is 80% Cotton, 20% Silk, with two linings; the first of 100% Polyester and a second lining of 60% Viscose, 40% Cupro. It is labelled an Italian 44, UK 12 or US 8 but Westwood pieces run small so please check the measurements below closely. The fabric has no stretch.
