2009 Zac Posen Runway Documented One Shoulder Bronze and Silver Dress
Description
This Zac Posen dress walked the runway for the brand's Spring 2009 collection (Look 25 of 45). A decadently glittering gown, it is tailored from a bronze and silver metallic lurex woven cloth and lined with soft peach silk. It has a one-shoulder cut and is a mini-length, details that led to Vogue describing this collection as aimed at “that other kind of 9-to-5er: the type who makes a business of party-hopping.” The cloth is generously cut and draped to cascade around the body. A loop of coordinating cloth hangs from the wide single sleeve. Inside, it is fully lined with stretch-silk and the bodice is boned to provide structure. This gown fastens under the left arm with a hidden tonal zip and hook-and-eye clasp.
The dress is in good to excellent vintage condition. A few strands of the lurex cloth have slightly separated at the shoulder and bottom hem and there are one or two knicks in this area. These cannot be noticed when worn. Sized a US 4, UK 8, but please double check our measurements below. The composition label states that this is 73% Acetate, 14% Lurex, 8% Nylon, 5% Silk and the lining is 95% Silk, 5% Elastane. The fabric has no stretch.
