Hannalore of London 1960s Pink Silk Chiffon Sequined Pleated Dress

This sensational 1960s silk chiffon pleated evening dress by Hannalore of London combines fairy tale glamour with a striking and elegant line. The dress is a sleeveless shift cut with a round neckline and gentle tailoring on the bodice to elevate the bust and draw in the waist at the mid back. The bodice is richly embellished with intricate sequin and rocaille beading which follows a diagonal line across the bust in alternating bands of champagne and iridescent pink. The waistband echoes the design on the bodice and its horizontal line juxtaposes beautifully with the vertical fall of the skirt and the angles of the bodice, consolidating the piece as though it were a belt.
