1930s Peach Pink Patterned Velvet Gown with Rhinestone Belt Buckle

An enchanting 1930s evening dress tailored to a timeless silhouette; the pale pink velvet textured and patterned with petals and leaves. The dress features a relaxed, column style body and full-length, floor-sweeping skirt. The bust is fitted and has a pretty sweetheart neckline with quite a low V-cut for this period. The fabric is ruched at the centre of the bust. The straps are wide and tailored from the same fabric; they cross over a sensuous open back. The gown comes with a matching belt which is attached and made of coordinating fabric and detailed with a circular, rhinestone studded buckle at the centre of the waist.

1930s dresses of this quality and condition are increasingly hard to source and it is a perfect choice for summer garden parties and alternative bridal wear. As is usual for pieces from this time, there are no makers’ labels. It is unlined and in excellent antique condition, particularly for a piece of this age, with no issues. Very wearable and a good fit for up to a size UK 8 or US 2-4 on account of the small waist.
