1980s Fink Modell Deadstock Yellow Cotton Butterfly Print Dress
Description
German fashion brand Fink Modell was established in the 1960s and sold good quality clothing in European boutiques through to 1997. This is a late 1980s to early 1990s design tailored from a vibrant yellow mousseline cotton and printed all-over with white butterflies with black outlines. The dress is ruched around the sides of the bodice and across the back. It has a sweetheart neckline with chunky shoulder straps to hold it up. The bodice forms a basque waist where it hits the skirt and falls in soft pleats from below this to the mid-calf. The dress is quality lined in pale yellow satin with a ruffle trim finishing the bottom of the skirt’s inside slip. The dress fastens at the back with hidden tonal yellow zip.
This wonderful, summery dress is in excellent deadstock vintage condition with a paper label still attached. It looks like it has never been worn. Labelled a UK size 12 which is a US 6-8 but sizes have changed a lot over the years so please check our measurements below; it may be a better fit for a size down.
