1960s Orange and Yellow Rose Print Cotton Dress
Description
This is a really vibrant and desirable rose print dress from the late 1950s or early 1960s in a bold colour combination of red, orange, yellow, grey and black on a white background. The print itself is an interesting and early version of a digital print effect with the roses looking like a laser etching and somewhat abstract up close. As the dress is viewed further away, the roses take on a very lifelike 3D effect. This piece has been skilfully homemade with a neat darted bodice and the skirt is panelled and flared. It would look fantastic with a petticoat underneath to increase the fullness. Condition wise, this is excellent with the cotton good quality, having a crisp feel and looking barely worn. We have noticed just one tiny repaired flea bite towards the side near the zip which is a modern replacement. Otherwise this is very fresh looking original vintage dress which will fit up to a UK size 12, US 8.
