1970s Jeff Banks Cotton Shirt with Patchwork Appliqué
Description
This quirky 1970s shirt is by celebrated British designer Jeff Banks. Tailored from white muslin or cheesecloth cotton, it is trimmed with a geometric patchwork design in floral Liberty print cloth across the shoulders, inside the cuffs, the collar lining and forming geometric shapes down the back. It is adorned with appliqué ribbons in red, purple and emerald green that dangle from the right shoulder and are hung with colourful wooden beads. The collar is detailed with rainbow stitching in abstract patterns. A long-sleeve style, it fastens with chunky plastic buttons and fabric button loops down the front and at the cuff. The silver thread of the label reads "Jeff Banks - Made by England by Rembrandt". This shirt is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note. We suggest a best fit for up to a UK 10 or US 6.
