Description

This 'Studio 54' vibe dress was designed in the 1970s for John Marks by Anne Tyrell. Crafted from a generously gathered black jersey, it has a high-neck, sleeveless silhouette that is so of that disco era and reminiscent of many Ossie Clark designs from this time. The high neck acts as a collar. Below it, at the front, is a sensuous, skin-revealing keyhole cut-out. The neck is fastened by three fabric covered buttons and the back is secured with a hidden tonal zip. The waist can be cinched further with a removable braided belt made from coordinating jersey cloth. This dress falls to ankle length, with the full-skirt swirling out around the wearer as they dance. It is lined at the top in black jersey.

Made in England and well manufactured, this piece is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note. The fabric is 100% Nylon. It is labelled a European size 40, UK size 14 but this is smaller than modern sizing and we recommend it will best fit sizes up to a UK 10-12 or US 6-8. The fabric has some stretch so please allow some flexibility on the below measurements.
