2002 Chloé by Phoebe Philo Beaded Crescent Bracelet Bag

This weighty beaded bracelet bag was designed as part of Chloé’s Spring 2002 collection, where Vogue shouted out the “Moroccan-style beaded bags” which “exuded earthy chic”. Designed under Creative Director Phoebe Philo, it showcases that level of desirability and interest that Philo excels at bringing to a garment or accessory. Tailored from black cotton, it forms a crescent shape. The chunky bracelet handle is created from elaborately carved, matte silver-toned metal, oversized spring ring clasps and a stiff black cotton-covered handle. The body of the bag is smothered in large droplet-shaped beads in matte black plastic and ribbed silver-toned metal, secured to the bag with metallic silver thread and matte silver sequins. The bag fastens with a chunky silver-toned zip. It is lined with black cotton and contains a single slip pocket inside.

New creative director and long time Chloe stalwart Chemena Kamali updated this beloved bag for the autumn/winter 2024 collection. Grab the rarer original from Circa which was purchased new by the owner of the boutique! The bag is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws to the beadwork, metal, black cotton or lining.
