This striking original 1950s Mexican black cotton festival skirt is in superb vintage condition and is a wonderfully versatile piece. It features a hand painted, abstract gold motif with blown-up flowers in blue and bronze encircling it. The cut is a below the knee, full circle '360' style giving this piece a voluminous, playful aesthetic. It has a wrap-around black cotton tie at the waist which is secured by hidden hook-and-eye clasps. This skirt can be effortlessly transformed from day time to evening wear with the right accessories and the addition of a petticoat. This skirt is unlined. It is labelled “Jacmarq, Jack Franklin, Latin Creations, Hecho En Mexico”. In truly excellent vintage condition with no issues of any note. It has no composition or size label so please double check our measurements below as vintage sizes vary hugely. The fabric has no stretch; however, the skirt can be adapted at the waist to make it smaller or bigger with some easy tailoring adjustments. Good right now for all sizes up to a UK 12 or US 8.
