1970s Colourful Cotton Floral Print Trouser Suit

Very striking and colourful 1970s floral print trouser suit in a textured 'waffle' cotton fabric. The dominant colours are pink, orange, yellow, and green against a lilac and blue background. It is a very high quality manufactured or possibly bespoke made suit with 2 x coral pink coloured chunky buttons. Front-fastening with short turned-up sleeves and two front patch pockets. Lined in a pale orange colour sateen.

The trousers are a very flared style and darted on the waist with a series of straight panels on the front. There is an additional stitched fold on the front of the trousers which the designer has carefully inserted to increase the width and greatly exaggerate the width of the palazzo trouser. It's a very unusual design but works brilliantly to give the trouser the look of a gathered A-line skirt from a distance.

Beautifully made although unlabelled and in superb vintage condition with no issues of any note. The trousers have a notably smaller waistband and the ensemble would fit best size UK 6-8 or US 2-4. This ensemble was a good fit for our model who is a UK 6-8 and 5ft 4in.
