1991 Chanel Runway Mauve Tweed Cropped Jacket with Black Trim
Description
A classic boucle wool jacket from the Chanel spring summer 1991 collection. Woven from soft mauve wool, it is trimmed with decadent, thick black braid at the end of the sleeves, atop two patch pockets and at the round, collarless neckline. The braided spherical buttons are detailed with gold-tone studs of the brand's instantly recognisable double-C insignia. The top button fastens to a braided fabric loop, and the rest fasten into tonal mauve button holes. The silk lining is quilted and features tonal double-C logos. The original label states 'Chanel Boutique' and has hand-written details stating the style number (21115), fabric composition (100% wool outer, 100% silk lining), size (French size 36) and washing instructions (dry clean only). This jacket is in excellent vintage condition with no issues; please note the design of this jacket does not feature a vertical braided trim on the button stand. The perfect addition to your Chanel collection and famously documented on the runway; Karl Lagerfeld also chose this colour for the campaign shots, modelled by Linda Evangelista.
