Susan Small 1970s Blue Silk/ Linen Beaded Maxi Dress

This elegant vintage 1970s Susan Small maxi dress in a cobalt blue silk and linen mix is of superb quality and features some exquisite embellishment on the bodice, neckline and arms. The delicate coral and crystal toned rocaille beading is interspersed with large prong set rhinestones and pearlescent clusters, running in a linear fashion around the waistband and down the centre front of the bodice to enhance the bust. The straight floor length skirt falls from the fitted waistline and is fully lined in matching blue acetate, fastening with a zip at the centre reverse. Originally retailed in Beales of Bournemouth -a high end British department store- is in excellent condition except for some very minor bead loss which has been replaced, and some minute holes in the lining which are not noticeable when worn. We recommend would best suit a US size 6-8, Uk size 10-12.
