1940’s Monica Black Dress With Cream Guipure Lace Underlay

This beautiful vintage 1940s black organza dress features a unique guipure lace under layer in soft cream which is visible beneath the sheer fabric of the skirt, a pretty sweetheart detail on the neckline and wide set, ruched shoulder straps. The bodice is tailored beneath the bust and synches neatly at the waist before flaring out into the generous ankle length skirt. The dress is fully lined, adding a third layer of fabric to the skirt, which creates subtle volume and pleasing fluidity of movement. There is a concealed zip fastening to the left. This wonderful cocktail number is in excellent condition and would best suit up to a US size 4, UK size 8.
