Description

This original 1950s triple strand pearl necklace is a truly eye-catching piece and could easily be mistaken for fine jewellery, such is the quality of the materials used and the settings. Three strings of creamy glass pearls are individually silk knotted and crowned with a decorative box clasp. It is composed of a silver-toned metal back, topped with a large central rhinestone and surrounded by circular and rectangular rhinestones - all prong set. This decadent fastening is offset to ensure that it can be seen from the front rather than the back and can be worn further around if desired. The pearls graduate from the largest at the front, decreasing in size along the strands.

In excellent vintage condition with no flaws to the rhinestones, pearls or silver-toned metal. I'm astounded that this piece is not labelled but alas we cannot attribute it to a jewellery or couture designer. It would make a statement at a special event or as bridal jewellery.
