Description
This is an original 1960s Dior pair of earrings from my archive. I've always loved the amber coloured glass which reminds me of early 19th century lamp glass. The central oval cabochon has flakes and swirls of cream which is also echoed in the smaller spherical beads that surround the central cabochon. The four glass pearls complete the look and unusually the backs of these Dior earrings are set in what looks to be copper. Each bead is held in by a gold jewellery tack and all of the beads rotate individually. They are both signed Christian Dior, copyright symbol and dated 1960. In excellent vintage condition with no nicks or scratches to the glass. This colour combination looks really good with gold and black clothing; definitely one for the collector or connoisseur of fine vintage jewellery.
