1960s Frank Usher Turquoise and Purple Paisley Velvet Dress
Description
Founded in 1946 in London, Frank Usher's aim was to bring high-end details and fresh off the runway looks to shoppers at a more affordable price range, whilst not sacrificing quality or cut. This flamboyant late 1960s to very early 1970s dress is tailored from a stretchy manmade velvet which is very light and printed with a swirling psychedelic print in purple, blue, brown, and aqua. It features a swirling full-skirt and long sleeves, each finished with a row of four pretty fabric-covered buttons and fabric loops. It is fastened with an aqua zip at the rear of the neck. There is a wide rounded neckline trimmed with purple satin at the front. The dress has a relaxed silhouette with a nipped-in waist and it is unlined.
In excellent vintage condition with no flaws. It is labeled a UK size 18, but vintage sizes vary hugely, so please check our measurements below. It has no composition label. As fabric has some stretch we believe that this would fit a good range of sizes up to a small UK 14 or US 10.
